Five areas define where the Fund concentrates its work over the next three years.

Equitable partnerships in the Arctic: decolonisation and cooperation
Cooperation with Indigenous organisations on self-governance, land rights, access to resources and benefit sharing; joint research with academic institutions; monitoring Indigenous rights within Arctic Council activities.

Indigenous Peoples, just transition and green economy
Supporting communities facing national park creation on their traditional lands, including the Udege engagement in co-management of the Bikin National Park; consulting communities in negotiations with authorities and the private sector.

International exchange programmes, training and seminars
Exchanges between Indigenous communities on culture, sport, youth, environment and biodiversity.

Participation in international and global processes
Developing recommendations on land rights, traditional livelihoods, knowledge and languages; conferences and round tables with experts, addressed to the UN, the Arctic Council and national governments.
05
Human rights advocacy
Support for Indigenous human rights defenders facing repression and harassment by authorities, military forces and businesses; training seminars on rights protection.
